Dickey Hall Expansion and Renovations
Location: Lincoln University, PA
Architect: Kimmel Bogrette Architecture + Site

The Dickey Hall renovations consisted of approximately 60,000 sq. ft. of interior renovations and approximately 30,000 sq. ft. of new construction. The newly renovated Dickey Hall will be a state-of-the-art facility technologically and educationally. It will house the updated and expanded campus support department, information systems technology center, classrooms and lecture halls. Renovation of this 1990 structure revealed several important structural issues that needed to be evaluated and remediated. The structural analysis of the existing structure revealed that the building was drifting too much causing problems with the building envelope. The existing structure is composite steel framing with spread footing foundations.  The estimated construction cost is $14.5 million.
